Hi, my name is  Paul Nguyen, founder and head instructor of Mountain Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.  I began my Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey over 18 years ago under the tutelage of John and Rigan Machado.  In 2000 I began studying under the great Renato Magno, Patriarch of the Street Sports Jiu Jitsu Family, headquartered in Santa Monica, CA.  In 2013, I was awarded my black belt by Professor Magno and I count that moment as one of the greatest achievements in my life.  Jiu jitsu has offered me so much in terms of confidence and fitness, friendships and family. My promise to my students is to offer an environment where we train hard, learn, have fun and make friends.  It's the way I was brought up in jiu jitsu at Street Sports and it is my sincerest hope that I can carry on that tradition here at MOUNTAIN.
